Meet Carole 

Elected to the Gwinnett County Board of Education in November 2004, Carole has a passion for public education. She brings a wealth of experiences, including being a classroom teacher and an  instructional lead teacher. From 1972 to 1984, she taught middle school language arts and social studies in Greenville, South Carolina and in the DeKalb County Schools.  She also has had her own design firm.

Carole earned a bachelor's degree in English and elementary education from Furman University and a master's degree in middle grades education from Georgia State University. After attending the American College for the Applied Arts, Carole earned an additional bachelor's degree in interior design.

She and her husband, Peter, have resided in Gwinnett County for forty one years, twenty five in Dacula where both have been very active in the community. Their six children are all graduates of Gwinnett County Public Schools.
